Introduction
My second e-portfolio incorporates a range of works to help you plan, record, reflect on and collate evidence of my learning during community based practice class. Also collect and reflect on my community group, share my educational and work experience. This may include any development activity, be it formal, educational, work-based, self-directed, personal or professional.
The Cornmarket
Project provides accessible, free, confidential services to people with substance
misuse and antisocial behavioral issues and to young people at risk from a wide
range of issues. We also work with family members who are affected by addiction
related issues.
The logo using rice plants and the color using between red and gray. Because red can symbolize excitement, energy, strength and passion. Gray can symbolize security, reliability and maturity. The object is rice plant which means younger group, grow up and peace cause the community that helps people have issues or behavior problems. The fonts is Myanmar which makes logo clear and classic.
The first product I did hot press printing the logo on the T-shirt. It is a machine for applying a combination of heat and pressure to give a smooth surface to T-shirt.
Q. What is the Cornmarket Project?
The Cornmarket Project was set up by Wexford Local Development in response to a demand for an accessible service to help people in County Wexford who have alcohol, drug and/or other behavioural problems.
Q. Who can use the service?
Anyone who wants to get help with their own drug, alcohol or behavioural problems or who are seeking help for someone else who they care for. Taking the first step in seeking help can be difficult but our trained professional team will always be supportive and understanding.
Q. Is it confidential?
Yes. The Cornmarket Project functions on a philosophy of confidentiality and trust. It could not function in any other way. The care of the affected individual is its primary purpose. No person’s right to privacy will ever be put at risk.
Q. How can interested organisations or agencies access the service?
We welcome referrals from community organisations, the Probation Service, families, youth groups, schools, Gardaí, doctors, health services, counsellors and others who engage with people who need support concerning problematic behaviours.
Q. How can I contact the service?
Simply by phoning the number overleaf, or by calling to our Drop In Service during business hours. Although we welcome referrals from professionals, there is no need to go through a third party. Those seeking help will usually be given an appointment to meet with a member of staff within a week of contacting the service.
