Cyber Bullying

Cyber-bullying is the use of the Internet and related technologies to harm other people, in a deliberate, repeated, and hostile manner. As it has become more common in society, particularly among young people, legislation and awareness campaigns have arisen to combat it.

Sometimes cyber-bullying can be easy to spot — for example, if your child shows you a text message, tweet, or response to a status update on Facebook that is harsh, mean, or cruel. Other acts are less obvious, like impersonating a victim online or posting personal information, photos, or videos designed to hurt or embarrass another person. Some kids report that a fake account, web page, or online persona has been created with the sole intention to harass and bully.

Today we discussed skills of putting four colours in one session screen printing.

1. install the first screen plate.
2. fix the paper on pallent by tape.
3. mark the four crosses by black pen.
4. align the crosses on the second plate to the ones on paper, then fix the plate.
5. after installing all plates, peel off the paper.
6. block all crosses on plates by tape.
7. apply some pallet adhesive on pallet to fix the T-shirt.
8. apply colors and printing.
9. finish four different colours.

Traditional screen printing printed T-shirt open to the public, pieces of the same color to the same color edition version of the brush is very hard, so a small amount of orders they are less this. Busy waited a long time to be producers, open edition, red, school four-color version ... only printed two or ten, who do not want to produce. My first screen printing......

     Screen printing (also known as silk screening) is one of the oldest methods of printmaking, with examples dating back to the Song Dynasty in China.  The process involves creating a stencil of an image on a screen of porous mesh, traditionally made of silk.  A roller or squeegee is used to pull paint-like ink over the stencil, forcing it through the mesh onto the paper being printed.  Unlike the inks used in some other forms of printing, screen printing ink sits right on the surface of paper, resulting in incredibly rich, vibrant color.

    First, I was draw the Scrat outline which is the characters from ice age. then using knife to cut the inside space. Second, I stick on to the canvas waiting until to dry. Third, I align the paper for printing, and mark the location with registration tabs.  Ink is applied directly to one end of the screen in a long bead, ready to be pulled over the screen with the squeegee. At last firm pass with the squeegee forces ink through the mesh, visibly showing on the print side of the screen.  The screen is lowered on the hinges, and the squeegee is used to press the inked mesh flat against the paper, transferring a thin, even layer of ink to the page.

What is screen printing ?

  CM911 Project is focus on the screen printing skills and communication with people, based on the community practice which looks at various ways of understanding community theory.

  Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A fill blade or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink into the mesh openings for transfer by capillary action during the squeegee stroke.

  Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. Ink is forced into the mesh openings by the fill blade or squeegee and onto the printing surface during the squeegee stroke. It is also known as silkscreen, serigraph, and serigraph printing. A number of screens can be used to produce a multi-coloured image.
